One of my Favorite books is The Outsiders by Se Hinton! It is sad, and it talks about Two different Gangs, The socs, and The greasers. I almost cried during part of it. The sequel is even better!

Hey! I too read that book in middle school...I loved it; very sad though, I have to admit. It has a lot to teach us though.

S.E. Henton wrote five books in all or maybe it was six. I have read them all, and enjoyed all of them. I also liked the Outsiders movie, I liked the guy's voice who played Johnny. If you really do like S.E. Henton, read the rest of the stuff she has written.

I had to read it for seventh grade English. I liked it. The sequel, That Was Then, This Is Now, was pretty good too.

I loved the Outsiders! It's an awesome book! I have been trying to find it on tape because after I read a good book that I love, if it's on tape I buy it, but I can't find it! I think it's out of print...

Caitlin:
I don't know if you are completely blind, or what your condition is, maybe you don't have any disability? *smile*
Anyways, if you are visually impaired, you could get that book and all the others she wrote at the talking book library. On tape, or wich ever you prefer.

Oh my gosh guys! Earlier today I posted about the book-on-tape and said I couldn't find it? Well get this: I go to the bookstore tonight, and there isn't one, but three copies of the tape! Now how creepy is that, I haven't thought about this book in liek two years, and today I do, and today I find the tape! Creepy ...

I have heard of it, and read most of it. It's not a bad book

I"m almost done with the tape I bought. As soon as I started the book, the memory of reading it came flooding back! I remember I read a lot of it in my dad's car outside Taco Bell because he was eating and stuff and I dunno. We were waiting for my mom or something. Lol. And he was listening to some sort of presidential speech on the radio. ... Lol I was remembering that. And it was also my Seventh Grade English/History teacher's favorite book of all time, so I started thinking of her a lot. She moved away, sobs. I hope to see her again sometime. Okay I'm getting way too sentimental ...

I don't know if any of you guys are signed up with audible.com or not, but if so, you can get the Outsiders from there. I was going to get it myself because I haven't read it since like the fourth grade, but judging from the audio sample, I'm not sure I'm all that crazy about the narrator. I may still get it though, I haven't thought of that book in years, and now I want to read it again.

NLS probably has it in braille. I think that's where my friend got it at. I have it, plan to read it. I heard a lot of talk of it, and plan on it.
